The findings come from a study of 44 patients with schizophrenia, aged a mean of 36.6 years, and 44 age-, gender – and predicted IQ level-matched mentally healthy individuals . All the participants were evaluated for psychological self-awareness using the 20-item Toronto Alexithymia Scale , which assesses difficulty identifying feelings, difficulty describing feelings, and oriented thinking externally.Likewise, we tested 178 low-confidence calls for tier 2, and only 1 was validated. In contrast, 51 of 104 high-confidence tier 2 phone calls were validated. We did not carry out validation research of variants in tiers 3 and 4.
